About

I'm Courtney, a 31-year-old originally from San Antonio, TX, who put in time in Brooklyn before settling down in good ol’ ATX. After graduating from Texas State University and moving up to (literal) Yankee territory, I worked for a little over a year and a half doing graphic design work for six different publications in NYC. It didn’t take long for me to get tired of the cold weather and expensive beers, so I packed my bags and moved back to Texas with my twin brother, Chris, to run a clothing brand called FLAVNT Streetwear. FLAVNT is a philanthropic LGBTQ clothing line that donates money to gender confirming surgeries.

Since moving back to Austin, I’ve worked at two of the largest ad agencies in town, a handful of startups and local businesses and gained experience in art direction, design, production and art direction. In 2021 I also began my tattoo apprenticeship journey at Companion Tattoo under the mentorship of Dylan Mott. I now tattoo professionally on the side of working full-time as an Art Director and Graphic Designer.

You could say that I like to stay busy — I would say that I’m just a girl trying to change the world and love her cats all at the same time.
