At Schwab, I was a member of C2, the internal advertising agency that creates a majority of content for the company. I specialized in primarily designing for our social media channels and was tasked with concepting, art directing, and building out campaigns for internal clients.

Art direction for video:

I often found myself working closely with our video and animation teams to create eye-catching social campaigns that involved motion. Our budget and deadlines were often minimal and quick, so we usually had to get creative and scrappy in order to make these fun little ideas come to life.

I worked with the video and brand teams to create this video using our brand approved character illustration style. Once concepting and storyboards were approved, the animation team brought this to life.

We often designed simple social media posts for “holidays” to bring some approachable non-financial content to our feeds.

This was another fun concept brought together through collaborative work with the animation team - we thought that a fairy tale style would be a fun way to tell this story.

This video was used to communicate that Schwab has representatives available 24/7 .

A cute spooky piece that we created for the halloween season in 2022.

We were tasked with creating some evergreen content to educate our followers on the investing principles and we decided to do that with humor and cute dogs. This project was possibly one of the most fun and “out there” concepts from my tenure at Schwab.

This kinetic type project was a really fun collaboration between myself and the animation team to bring together my vision for an evergreen piece of content.

Another simple video created for a “holiday” seasonal post.

This video was created to show that Schwab has real people not bots helping clients.

ANimation:

When our video team didn’t have the bandwidth to take on animation projects, I would take point and do them myself. Usually these concepts resulted in cinemagraph style videos or were shorter and simpler, but still effective on platforms like Instagram and LinkedIn.

Static Social posts:

My bread and butter at Schwab was creating social posts for our various social media channels. Charles Schwab has very strict and specific brand guidelines that require a lot of use of our Schwab Blue and custom typeface - so I would often have to get creative to make sure that these visuals stood out in our often “sea” of blue on our channels.

Logo work:

An uncommon project at C2 is branding or logo design, but from time to time we would get a project to create branding for an internal project. The below logo is an example of one of those times.
